Lack of available space leads to people living in studio apartments or smaller accommodations which increases the need for more modular or compact furniture. In this space, the balconies are rarely utilized as per their intended usage, which is for relaxation. Having a recliner chair or rocking chair is not convenient in such a situation as there isn't much space for these furniture pieces.

USER RESEARCH

With my user research I was able to understand the balcony space better -how it is used by the consumers. With my research, I found that most Indian households use balconies for drying clothes, for storage of items and decoration is done with plants.
All in all, the space for relaxation is limited.
